he open arquitecture, flexibility and power of the Dulcinea Control System is based in the combination of the WSxM software for Real Time Data Acquisition, the M6701 Innovative Integration Digital Signal Processor with 16 analog input and 16 analog output channels and the Nanotec Electronica designed Dulcinea electronics, with optional integrated lock-in module for Dynamic Force measurements.
Dulcinea is designed in an open and modular way in order to facilitate interfacing with any other AFM/SNOM/STM system. It forms the core of the versatility of Cervantes, allowing the many different modes of operation from Jumping Mode to Phase Lock Loop or Lithography. Dulcinea insures that the high quality and precision required for Ultra High Vacuum systems (in which subatomic resolution is obtained) is also available for accurate force control when studying soft liquid samples or for achieving the precise resolution that is so critical in any lithography experiments. For the highest reliability, each Dulcinea control system is tested for atomic resolution/periodicity before being shipped.
